More research and my site!

For this week on my genius hour time I initially started by doing some more research on a few things, I had begun looking into last week. Mainly, how to make stock, how to make tomato sauce, and how to make salad dressing. The research part so far has gone very well. Thankfully, there are tons of resources available on google for cooking, so it does not take very long to find the information you're looking for. For the stock and the salad dressing, I was able to find two very useful sites that were very simple to read and come with easy instructions on the overall process. For the tomato sauce, I figured there would be no one better to ask than my Mom. My parents are both first-generation Canadians with their parents being born in Italy, so my Mom knows a thing or two about making a bomb tomato sauce. She gave me the full breakdown with instructions and I'm super excited to share it with you all. 

It was at this point that I then realized and said to myself, "Hey, I need a product". I ended up deciding on creating a site for my product that will contain all the information from my research and act as a one-stop-shop for someone learning how to cook. I began on google sites where I got the general layout of the site going and started to place some of my information in the appropriate places. I think getting to learn how to better use google sites will definitely be a bit of a learning curve, and probably one of the more challenging aspects of this assignment. That being said I'm excited to get going and ready to learn.

Moving forward from here, I going to continue researching how to make new things that I enjoy eating, and then continuing to update my site so that it looks great, is functional, and contains all the necessary information.
